Breaking Barriers with Compassion
As we reflect on our October 2023 1000-mile mission, we are reminded of the transformative power of love and faith.
The mission was built on the foundation of compassion. It mirrored the love and empathy that Jesus displayed during his earthly ministry. While our initial focus was on serving migrants from Ethiopia and Eritrea, we extended our care to everyone we encountered. Our mission was not defined by boundaries or backgrounds but by the universal language of compassion.

Prayers for All
Amidst the diverse tapestry of individuals we met, one common thread was the need for prayer. We realised that in the face of life’s trials and tribulations, people sought solace in prayer. So, we prayed for every soul that crossed our path. Our prayers transcended barriers and connected hearts in a way that only faith can.
Nourishing the Hungry
A universal cry we heard was the need for sustenance. Food was a pressing need for many, regardless of their background. However, our resources were limited, and this presented us with a significant challenge. We did our best to provide nourishment to those in need.

Sharing the Gospel
In addition to meeting physical needs, our team distributed printed Gospel leaflets. We carried the message of hope, faith, and love to all, spreading the transformative power of the Gospel. Our mission was not just about nourishing bodies but also about feeding souls.
Overcoming Language Barriers

One of the challenges we faced was the language barrier. Many of the individuals we encountered spoke languages like Arabic or Tigrigna, which our team was not fluent in. Yet, we persevered. The language of compassion bridged the gaps, and our actions spoke louder than words.
Our Gratitude and Conclusion
We are immensely grateful to all those who joined us on this journey, whether through prayer or financial support. Your prayers were the wind beneath our wings, giving us strength and courage. Your financial support fuelled our mission, enabling us to make a tangible difference in the lives of many.
As we journeyed 1000 miles, we realised that love knows no bounds. It unites us all, regardless of our differences. Love Gospel Mission International remains committed to spreading love, hope, and the Gospel, one compassionate act at a time.
As we break barriers with compassion, we invite you to stand with us. Our forthcoming journey is scheduled for January 2024, carrying the theme, “Let Me Be with You in the Chilling Winter.” Your support is invaluable. The work of the Gospel is a collective endeavour, bringing not only relief to those in need but also blessings to those who participate.
The encounter with the migrants in Calais and Belgium is a reminder that together, we can make a positive impact. Love Gospel Mission International remains dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the marginalised, the forgotten, and the suffering.
May the Lord’s blessings be upon you and your loved ones as we continue our journey of compassion.
